SpeedDial service will not increase the speed your computer sends and receives information, but it will help filter out unwanted information like pop-up ads and high graphic banner ads, which will allow you to get the information you want, faster. The software will remember web pages you have previously viewed to allow you to load them much faster. It will also compress text and image files so that they can move through your dial-up connection more efficiently. SpeedDial will speed up all of your regular surfing, such as news, sports and information sites. This service will not, however, increase the speed at which large email attachments are sent or received, nor will it speed up downloads for videos or music, as these types of files are not able to be accelerated. The service is quick and easy to activate and once you have the software installed, it requires no end user intervention.

What gets accelerated?
SpeedDial compresses the following elements of web pages and email in order to send the information to your computer faster:
- Web Pages – HTML markup and Javascript
- Graphics – including JPG and GIF images
- Text
- Email
What does not get accelerated?
Although SpeedDial is able to compress many different types of online data, there are a few which cannot be accelerated:
- Streaming media, audio and video files
- Secure pages, such as those used for on-line banking and Credit Card forms
- Files and attachments such as music and digital photos

The Web Accelerator is a small program that you download on to your computer. It runs in the background when you have connected to your dial-up service.
Web pages and emails will now pass through a special computer that will optimize images and text (to a degree you specify) and send them to your computer at a faster rate than traditional dial-up service. As well, the software includes a pop-up blocker!
