CHAPLEAU, ON – May 1, 2025 – Chapleau Cree First Nation, in partnership with Vianet, is pleased to invite all residents to a Fibre Optic Engagement Dinner and Community Information Session.
Vianet is thrilled to announce a partnership with the Chapleau Cree First Nations to bring high-speed fibre optic internet to their Fox Lake Reserve community by the end of this summer. This exciting project will connect over 60 homes and businesses, providing a significant upgrade from their current satellite-only access.
This initiative builds Vianet's long-standing commitment to the region. Having first introduced fibre optic internet to the town of Chapleau in 2011, this expansion demonstrates our continued dedication to working with local communities to deliver the essential connectivity needed for modern life. The new fibre optic network will also deliver high quality television and reliable home phone services. We are proud to collaborate with Chapleau Cree First Nations on this important project and look forward to the positive impact it will have.
Chapleau First Nation Engagement Dinner & Info Session:
Members of the Fox Lake Reserve community are invited to join us on June 4th for dinner and to learn more about our upcoming project to bring high-speed Fibre Optic Internet access to all buildings within the Chapleau Cree First Nation community.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the project's timeline, the specific internet services that will become available, and the process Vianet will use to connect the community. Information resources will be provided, and attendees can take advantage of early registration opportunities, securing access to Fibre Optic service at introductory pricing.
