Does Vianet charge extra for HD channels?

No, HD service is free with your TV subscription.

Does Vianet offer on-demand services for movies or live shows?

Not as this time.

Can I use my existing television set?

Yes, Vianet's advanced set-top receivers can supply the required signal to all existing television sets.

I have 4 TV sets in my home, can I use Vianet's TV service?

Yes, Vianet can provide service to all TV's in your home.

My neighbour has Vianet TV service, why can't I get it?

You should be able to receive Vianet TV service in such a case, unless there is some physical limitation or difference concerning your residence compared to your neighbors.

Is there a trial version of Vianet TV?

Not at this time.

Why doesn't Vianet have TSC or other channels?

Various service providers receive their signals via different delivery methods and there are sometimes limitations as to which specific services are available. Vianet is constantly looking for new services and delivery options.

Will additional wiring be installed in my home or business?

CAT-5E ethernet wiring is installed as part of Vianet's bundled service.

Does Vianet offer whole home DVR service?

Yes.

Can I use my existing set-top box?

No, that uses an old technology that is not compatible with Vianet's advanced television service.

Can I purchase the DVR or set-top box?

Not at this time.

Can I put my TV service on seasonal hold?

Yes, but conditions do apply. Please call 1-800-788-0363 for more details.

How many hours of television can the DVR record?

The DVR can record up to 320 GB of recorded television. This is equivalent to approximately 120 hours of HD programming.
