Sudbury‐based Vianet continues to grow with the acquisition of Compu‐SOLVE Technologies Inc., an independent internet service provider and information technology solutions provider based in Midland and Barrie.
"We are extremely excited to have Compu‐SOLVE as part of the Vianet team," says Brian McCullagh, Vianet's Director of Business Development. "Compu‐SOLVE has an incredible reputation in the area. It is known for top‐level technical expertise and fantastic customer service – two things that have been crucial to our own growth and success.
With over 20 years in business, and ranked as one of the top 100 solution providers in Canada, Compu‐SOLVE has emerged as the leading supplier of technology hardware, industry standard software and professional technical services north of Toronto. Compu‐SOLVE is also one of the largest independent TELUS dealerships, managing the cellular needs for a wide range of corporate and institutional customers throughout Simcoe County.
"This is a great opportunity for our customers and our employees," says Compu‐SOLVE's General Manager and previous owner, Les Tutkaluke. "Joining forces with a larger telecommunications provider enables our internet division to offer a wider range of telecommunications products and services which will greatly enhance our customers' internet experience. Our Technology Solutions division will be able to offer its many unique hardware and software platforms as well as services to a much wider range of potential customers."
Vianet has been in business over 25 years and has operations throughout Northern and Central Ontario. With recent acquisitions, Vianet and associated companies employ more than 150 people throughout Ontario.
Vianet's, Brian McCullagh notes: "Vianet has had a strong internet presence in the Muskoka and Parry sound regions for years and our recent acquisition of Zing networks has made Vianet the preeminent fixed wireless internet provider in the rural area south of Barrie. Working with Compu‐SOLVE we will now be able to leverage Compu‐SOLVE's manpower and backbone infrastructure to extend our wireless and fibre to the home experience to underserviced sectors within Compu‐ SOLVE's service area. There are many opportunities for growth for both organizations and the future is very exciting."
Compu‐SOLVE and Vianet will retain their separate corporate identities and continue to focus on the services and solutions that have made them the right choice for all the needs of their customers and for the products and services they have excelled at for so many years.
